Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a systematic approach in modifying behavior, improving social interaction and facilitating learning.  Many children learn from their environment, while others benefit from a structured environment where they have 1:1 opportunities to acquire the same fundamental skills.

Early Intervention is provided during the child's critical learning years and through a system of coordinated services.  We work with community resources like ECI and Any Baby Can to ensure that your child is recieving the most beneficial services essential to their development and essential to our Balanced Plans.  We offer Balanced Plans that help create a balanced approach in helping your child reach his or her highest potential.  Our Balanced Plans include ABA Therapy, Group Play, Parent Training and case management while following A Balanced Child Curriculum.  The frequency of each is determined during the Consult and with the immediate needs of the child in mind.  The plan is scheduled over a 12 week period which allows for each of the components in the Balanced Plan to be implemented and the child's progress monitored effectively.

Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy

Occupational Therapy treats children with various needs to improve their physical, motor, sensory, communication, and play skills while fostering their independence.

Speech Therapy treats communication challenges, expressive & receptive, and includes both parent and child goals.

Group Play

Every child is unique.  We believe that success and growth come from encouragement and praise.  We nurture the child's natural strengths and guide him or her in achieving developmental milestones.  Through play a child sees the world around them with wonder and awe, we believe in encouraging their natural curiosity but it sometimes requires guidance in a structured setting before it can be generalized into other settings.

Our Group Play focuses on instruction, practice, and reinforcement of social skills through play in a structured inclusive setting.  Children are taught the social skils to be able to play with other children whether it be in the form of independent play, onlooker play, parallel play, associative play, or cooperative play.  Our small ratios allow us to work with the child (18mos to 5yrs 11mos) 1:1 frequently during the four hour Group Play session.  A developmental portfolio is created for each child that includes the child's current strengths and developmental milestones to meet.  A Balanced Child Curriculum is followed, which includes all domains of childhood development.  Activities are modified to each child's abilities and modified as the child continues to develop skills to master the activities on their own.  The classroom is set up into centers much like those that can be found in preschool programs.  This settig was intentionally created to duplicate preschool program settings so that the child can work on the skills he or she needs to be able to generalize into those settings to be successful.

We have open enrollment year round and offer Part-Time and Drop-In service.

Hours:  Monday - Friday from 9:00am - 2:00pm

Additional Group Play sessions for children up to 10yrs of age include Holiday Play (November & December) and our Summer Sessions
